The Duchess of Cambridge, who dressed up in a pale blue coat and gray fascinator, wore the same diamond earrings she wore for her royal wedding to the Duke of Cambridge in 2011. Their eighth wedding anniversary is on April 29, this upcoming Monday.

The earrings were a gift to Kate from her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. They were made by Robinson Pelham and feature "diamond-set stylized oak leaves with a pear-shaped diamond set drop and a pave set diamond acorn suspended from the center," CBS News reported at the time of her royal wedding. The dangling accessories were a delicate match for Kate's intricate lace Alexander McQueen wedding gown.

The design was inspired by the Middleton family's new coat of arms, which was granted to them ahead Kate and William's nuptials. The symbol includes three acorns that represent the three children in the family (Kate, sister Pippa, and brother James) and reference the oak trees surrounding West Berkshire, England, which is where they grew up.
