To find out, we caught up with beauty pros and had them spill on what they think are beauty products worth dropping major cash on.

It may sound like a lot to spend on highlighter, but celebrity makeup artist Cyndle Komarovski swears by it for a major glow boost. Earlier this year, skin care brand La Mer launched its very first facial oil, and it’s already become a favorite among top celebrity makeup artists, namely Jeannia Robinette, a pro who has worked with celebs like Elsa Hosk and Amy Adams. “When you add this with almost any other product—from moisturizers to eye creams—it blends well and enhances the product, giving you an amazing dewy natural glow,” she says. “I literally have fallen in love with it.”

Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation ($76, nordstrom.com)

This foundation formula is the recipient of absolutely glowing reviews from makeup artist Georgina Hamed—who swears it’s the best on the market. “The gel formulation makes it lightweight, and it’s oil-free yet non-drying,” Hamed says. “A little bit of the product goes a very long way, and it gives the skin perfect, even coverage. Nothing compares to it.” And because you only need a small amount for perfect coverage, expect your eighty dollars to go a long way.

La Mer The Lifting and Firming Mask ($245, bergdorfgoodman.com)

It’s a cult product that celebrities swear by—but if you love La Mer, it it will cost you. Butmakeup artist Debra Ferullo swears this this mask has practically magical anti-aging properties. “Every time I use it on a client, the makeup always comes out beautiful, and I have found that if used long enough it really makes a difference in the fine lines and pores,” she says.
